The LOUIS VUITTON x MURAKAMI campaign kicked off on January 1, 2025, with the first series featuring a panda as the main character. At the Harajuku pop-up store, two original animations from the time of the collaboration were on display, projected on a large LED screen—creating a nostalgic, time-traveling experience. Additionally, sculptures from 20 years ago were showcased, adding to the historical significance of the event.

One key detail: the difference between the LV panda and the Murakami panda lies in the shape of the flowers on their ears, showcasing distinct character designs.

This time, the print featured is the MURAKAMI PANDA, also seen in the “Takashi Murakami Mononoke Kyoto Collectible Trading Cards.” The artwork depicts a mother and baby panda surrounded by a flurry of cherry blossom petals. Their six-petal flowers on the ears and tail add a signature Murakami touch.

With their wide smiles and raised hands, the pandas radiate pure joy—just looking at them brings a smile to your face. The cherry blossom-filled background amplifies the cuteness, making this piece a quintessential Murakami explosion of color and charm!
